Welcome to my 2021 blog.
Hi my name is Riley this is my 1st blog for 2021. I am loving it in Te kauru. My teacher Mrs Stevenson is so cool because when we don't finish our work she lets take it home to finish itMy blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.

RB Blake VR
WALT: know what happens when we don’t look after our oceans.
On Tuesday the whole class participated in the Blake VR programme. Alice and Grace talked about unhealthy and healthy sea environments and why everyone needs to take part in keeping the world clean, so there is sea food left for the future generations.
We got to have fun using the VR goggles. They showed videos of sea life. My favourite video was the one when the stingray came up to the 360 camera. It was so cool.

Bio poem
WALT Take information from a non fiction text to complete a bio poem
Toroa
Solitary, royal, wide-winged, calm
Lover of their nutritious diet of squid, octopus, salps and fish.
Who feels all of the salt water in their body so they use their tube nose to let it all of it out.
Who needs to stay away from unweighted fishing lines because they could hook themself and drown.
Who gave the Pakeha sailors bad luck if they killed an albatross.
Who fears the fishing lines and hooks because the fishermen haven't been using tori lines.
Who would like to have a chance to live without being endangered.
Who comes from the freezing Southern Ocean with their cousins the penguins.
