Te Manga 2019

This is my silly photo. My year in Te Manga has gone so fast I think this is the best year in Te Manga I cant wait for my next year at his school and I will miss my old teacher Whaea Deb, she was the best teacher ever.

Te Whare Tui Camp

My camp highlight was the water slide because you raced down so fast. When I first went down the slide I hit the 1st bean bag and it was warm and then I had to run back up the hill. The obstacle course was fun too. I think that the tyre swing was the hardest because there was one tyre swing missing and then you had to do a big swing. I liked it when you had to climb through a tunnel and climb up tyres and jump down platforms. The slippery hockey was great because at the end of the games of slippery hockey there was a whole bunch of soapy sponges left on the mat and we got to knock over all the bottles and it was the best game of slippery hockey.

Te Ahu Manaiakalani Film Festival

Manaiakalani Film festival Te Ahu 7th November

Today we to a Film festival and it was 40 minutes of joy, 

it was the best when we waked up the red carpet. I felt like a king and my favourite film was the robbery film. Ahipara School 
came 1st place and we came 2nd and we don't no who came 3rd 
place. There was an evening session and there was a list 
and and the people that were on the list where allowed in the theatre. After we got MCdonalds, I got a frozen coke it was yummy.

Rugby World Cup 2019

We are learning about the Rugby World Cup and the country I 

am learning about is Japan.  

This is my mapping activity showing where some of the special landmarks are.

The First Rugby Ball SJ Pt 1 No.2 2011

WALT increase our vocabulary by understanding interesting and tricky words in the text.


The first rugby ball was made from a pigs  bladder in the early
1800's. 
A bladder is a organ that holds all your pee and the people 
that made the rugby balls in the 1800's had to blow the pigs bladder with there mouths.
Now they make rugby balls using synthetic material because it is more safer and more healthier.

Rugby World Cup 2019

In Te manga and we have been learning about the Rugby world Cup and my country is Japan. The colours of japan are red and wite and they have not won a Rugby game yet but they will win a game! We had a dress up at school yesterday and I dressed up as Japan and so did Whaea Deb.

     

T3 W7 - Patiki - Water and Wind

WALT increase our vocabulary by choosing interesting and tricky words in the text.

Explain each part of the water cycle in your own words.

• Evaporation is when the sun heats up the water and turns into vapour
• Condensation is when the vapour rises into the sky  and then it cools down and turns into tiny  water droplets.
• Precipitation is when droplets join together and get to heavy and falls from the sky.

The Hare and the Tortoise - NZ Play House

Today we went to an intetaning show  it was funny there was a Hare and a tortoise the Hare was not cool but the tortoise

was very cool evan tho the hare as fast and the tortoise was slow.

The mane part of the show was the race and there was a nortey man called the piped piper he read the other people mined and when Hampty Dumpty came in he was saying that he had a Six pack.
But then he riped  more abase and it was funny because when he tried to  halp tortoise get more faster at ruining at runing humpty Dumpty said I cant make tortoise get fast to  faster to beat
hare and the tortoise beat the Hare  because of slow and steady

Caught Being a Good Dad

Dad feeds the Cows and he takes me to the beach to ride my motorbike and he helps me with my. Homework and he makes the best diners Yummy and he drives the Tractors and also He lets me drive some time!!!He is the best Dad in the world. My dad is a hard working dad  man. By Riley

Film Making with Harley

WALT we are learning to make a mini movie.

At one scene we were running away from the library because there were rats on the floor and to film it we needed a  tripod, camera, boom pole, clip board and a clippy clappy board.

Harley wanted us to get a close up shot, extremist close up shot, wide up shot and medyom close up.

The Water Cycle - Evaporation Experiment

WALT explain what happens when water evaporates. 

What was our hypothesis?

We think that puddles will evaporation faster in the sun than in the 

shade.

Riley and Cleo Amazing Water Facts

We are learning all about water this term. We have already found out some amazing water facts!

We use an average of 640 litres of water a day. An elephant can smell water up to 5 kilometres away. The sun evaporates a trillion (1 000 000 000 000 tonnes of water each day.Water is the only substance on earth that can be found in three different forms solid liquid or gas.      

The Lion King - First Draft

On the Thursday  my class went to the te Ahu  center  to see the lion king and I got a coke no sugar and popcorn and then we went in to the theaher. me tiena and tyson  sat by each ather and when pumba  farted and when simba  birbed we laughd. when simba came to paradise he cod not eat met he had to eat grubs   becose he cod not eat zebras and Atalanta's. My favourite part was when thay sang in the jungil. 

Wonderful Sentences

I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool. 

We know that wonderful sentences need:

• detail (elaboration)
• capital letters and full stops
• Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
• quality vocab - WOW words

WALT recognise different parts of speech.

• Nouns are naming words. eg. chair, book, July,   
• Adjectives describe nouns. eg. wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi
• Verbs are doing words. eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew
• Adverbs describe verbs. eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping happily and chewing noisily.

EXAMPLES  

1. The bird is angry.

2. The bluey-blackish bird is very angry.

3.The mean  blue blackish bird is angrily staring at its prey.

1.The  cat is sad.

2.The black cat is sad because its lonely.

3.The cat is sad because it haze no food.

The Longfin Eel - Tuna Kuwharuwharu

This term we have been learning about the long fin eel. Our assembly item was based on the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the long fin eel takes.

Waitangi Visit

Last Tuesday my class went to Waitangi. I had to be at school at 8.00 and we got on bus at about 9.00. It was a really long bus ride but finley we were there and the first thing I saw was Whaea Kerry and whaea Monka. So we went upstairs and we talked for  awhile then Caitlyn came in and then we talked  about rock's for  awhile then I got bored. We had morning tea  and then we talked about eel's for awhile and then we did paint 3D. We had lunch and went to the reserve and played chain tag  and then we did Scratch again. We played a kahoot and me and Edward  were buddies. 

My Holiday Buggy Ride with Leyton

On the holiday I went to Leyton's for the night, it was fun and 

and we went on the buggy for a ride. It was crazy when we 

went in the bush and it was bumpy when we went throw

the tree's. When We came back throw the tree's and down 

the beech it was bumpy  and we did wheelies and donuts 

when we did donuts I Nelly Flow out the door. When we

did a weeleys    my arms smashed into the rock Solid cheers 

and my leg's into the bottom of the cheer. They Were acing 

when we got back we went dawn the Hill on the skateboards, we flu off and we were screaming in pain.

Gala day writing

On the day of the gala I got  mum and dad On their feet and I ran to the kitchen  and Scoft down my breakfast. We got in the car  and we sped to the gala. When we got their I  went to the bank and got my Tickets. In 2 seconds my tickets  where Gone so I went back to mum and  got More tickets. I went to find Leyton and we went to the go karts. I smashed into  people and then my torn was up. I went on the bungy jump and I did a Bakflip, a ford flip and slam dunks.  it was bouncy!  When  my torn was up then I went  to The bouncy castle and rast  Mason. It was fun. I won.   After  that we went To the lucky dip. It was a deep rawnd container and I got a chork, some toys and some arts and crafts.

Me and Zav were crayfish. We were snipping our fingers, there were lots of people and it was fun. I  heard laughing and music. My heart skidded a beat and I froze. My legs were shaking and my mouth was dry.
